Dear Rob, Tom, Mike, and Bruce..

I am writing this letter to inform you that I have received your CD 'The Second One' for review at IOM. Without explaining how, when, or why... I would like to give you 95% of everything I earn if it will contribute in some way to having you all work full time on all future recording projects.

It is important to me and to the rest of the world and so I will now spend a great deal of time trying to enrol and persuade others to do the same.. all I need is the CD I am listening to right now!

sincerely

Colin Lynch

There's absolutely no doubt that Symphony in DeMeanor are one of the best pop/rock bands ever to have emerged from Canada and indeed North America PERIOD!

Their second 'mini' album also re-confirms the fact that even without the stunningly brilliant mastering, production, and engineering efforts that have gone into making this unique piece of work, in 2006 Ladies and Gentlemen, Symphony in DeMeanor have no equals ANYWHERE! For one of the most 'together' bands I have ever had the pleasure to know, they're quite simply a band apart!

'The Second One' is the follow up to The First One released in 2004.. both are six-track mini albums which, unfortunately and historically, is a kind of cruel accomplishment in that this band should really be allowed to write, play, record, and produce at least forty hours a week if only to satisfy the emotional needs and requirements of the rest of the planet. What a crime... what an utterly senseless set of circumstances!

The song that announces the long-awaited return of Symphony in Demeanor is She'll never find it - an immediately beautiful and promising sunrise for a world that's currently in so much distress. Just as expected, the magnificently sung and arranged vocals sweep up every ounce of negative and down-mood that had built up since you heard SID's last album! The carefully crafted and performed guitar and keyboard work in particular would have impressed the buggery out of some of the finest musicians and producers that have previously been assigned to this genre from the mid sixties to the present day.

The opening cafe/restaurant/bar inserts and kindly escorted orchestrations make the following track.. Dreams a very shiny track that gains sheen and glimmerings exponentially as the song progesses. Brian Wilson, Jeff Lynne, and George Martin would have had anxiety issues over this thoroughly amazing song not just for the magnificence in production but for the sheer skill and ingenuity at the fretboards, mics, and mixing desks. Hands up if you spent a great part of your musical childhood and teens aspiring to this kind of excellence.... wha??? all of you!???

What she needs is a blend of reflections in inspirations and influences that span quite a few decades and echo the very best this genre ever offered. What's more important however, is the very Symphony in DeMeanor in-charge arrangements and production. It's another song that is so hard to put down though... and we all thought that about some of the greatest records ever produced... problem here.. is that alot of us never expected those days to return.. until now. I wanna fill this review with socially unacceptable expletives but I'll save that until I get to Speak to Rob (Vermeulen).. the man needs an earful!

When Everybody knows begins... we have an interesting Yes/Beatles/Rutles funfair of chords played superbly before the vocals and lyrics unfold to provide us with a song that should make an excellent contribution to this year's Playlist Of Excellence. I can't believe the vocals! What a stunningly berrrrrilliantly sung lead vocal and astonishingly delightful assemblage of piano and magically manifested slide guitar! A true pearl of a track!

When Vision without eyes opens... no matter what you do.. no matter what you need to do or have done goes out the window. This is the kind of song that makes you late for work.. that makes you miss the bus.. that makes you tip the cab driver hugely because you're still very much 'enraptured' for the rest of the day, if not for the rest of the year! What a clever piece of work Symphony in DeMeanor really are! Here, you have some very unique compositional approaches that begin with the vocals and lyrics and become a pandemic for the magically wielded instruments. Nothing less than a real classic!

For me... the star of the show is Let the children play .. now this one really is one of the best songs I have heard in the past 27 years or so! It's the track that makes Symphony in DeMeanor equal and surpass their influences in so many ways and on so many levels. It's the track on the album that says Symphony in DeMeanor no longer need to aspire like to greatness like the rest of us except to continue to produce such magnificent pieces of work worthy of globally accelerating praise and appreciation. I am going to frame this album once they send me another copy for the CD player!

'The Second One' is a very important album for us, for the planet and for the music and entertainment industry. Symphony in DeMeanor go on excelling and overwhelming our expectations, not just as very very fine and accomplished musicians, but as a couple of guys who have brought back what we have all been missing and what we thought was gone forever!

Join me in sharing the excellence that is.. without a doubt... The Second One by Symphony in DeMeanor!

Dear Sir George and Jeff..

I am writing this letter to inform you that I have received and reviewed the CD 'The Second One' by Canadian artists Symphony in DeMeanor. A dark green metal filing cabinet, that I had readied in the garage for a forthcoming garage sale, has now been rescued and returned to my office as it will be needed to house all of the promotional work my company will be involved in for this band whether they like it or not. The dark green metal filing cabinet now belongs to Symphony in DeMeanor because we need far more albums from these guys than are currently available!

I have enclosed a copy of the CD, without the band's knowledge, as I want to hear their complete and utter surprise and delight when you confirm the arrangements for this band to be produced at Abbey Road and at Air Studios in London. I am thanking you in advance for volunteering to assist in the production of the third, fourth, and fifth ones, and for your very generous donations to the cause.

See you at the Grammys...

sincerely
