He's composer, performer, and producer! He bends, compresses, and molds the music, bringing forth an unrestrained piece of musical brilliance. The Ambience/Dance-Trance/Techno electronic beat architecture will, without any doubt whatsoever, start down in your toes, and force its way UP and OUT of your body. You won't be able to help but dance and feel! Pleqq's Phycoanarchitecture, being one of this year's new favorites, was voted '2006 Independent Music Awards Finalist’ for best dance/electronica album by Musiciansatlas.com. Pleqq has also produced some wicked remixes for independent films such as Beccerra and Edge City. Do you have any idea where I’m goin’ with this or am I gonna have to spell it out??? T.M.B pulls you into the 7th dimensional world of electronica, when you thought there were only one or two to begin with. The track is imagination food... inviting you along for a complete tour through the World Wide Web of stunning sound and creative visualization. As I listened to this song, I imagined myself flying through the unfiltered data-scattered universe composed of excellence in music .com's. What’s normally conisdered to be mostly black space is something that Pleqq brightens up effortlessly with his crazy beats and impervious style. If Chrome Cake is the icing, Absolutely is the filling; keeping you full for days! Before long, you’ll be craving his kick ass beats, and you won’t be able to withstand the overwhelmingly powerful urge to demand a second helping. It's a rare and precious organization that Pleqq belongs to and both these tracks are testimony to his revered membership! Leisure Loot is my personal favorite on the album. This is composition at its finest! He starts this song off bare boned, and gradually adds the weight and vibrant personality needed to really bring it to life! Troika meanwhile is insane! The beats in this track will keep you up on that dance floor all night and into the next day. You won’t ever want to leave the self architected venue but if you do.. you'll need to accept that you are now highly contagious.. you'll be driven to infect people with the Pleqq pleasure virus out of pure sympathy and compassion! Ixchel and Travelog are like wormholes into the future. They will take you into places unknown, giving you insight into the music that might be faint whispers in the now but are most definately vivid and powerful Pleqq horizons in the yet to come. Squid Pulp is the track that stands out definatly against anything that's been produced in the genre so far! This title is really quite perfect because Dan T aka Pleqq blends the beats into a bloody pulp, creating an exceptionally multi-timbral multi-tentacled behemoth of a track! Psychotropical is our conclusion to this great album keeping with the same atmosphere and traditions throughout. The musical manipulation and reconstruction of this, Pleqq’s newest album Phycoanarchitecture, was incredible as was the pleasure in being able to review it. The great thing about this music and the ever evolving genre it typifies, is that without words and with just a constant transcending rhythm, everyone who listens will see a different story. By the end of this album, you'll recognize the style and allure of Dan T, of Pleqq, and you'll be sweaty-palmed waiting for the next.
