Isn't it amazing? Kaya's fem-vocal prowess against a backdrop of stunningly invigorating and electrifyingly accomplished musicianship with highly smart production and engineering rounding everything off to an ultimatum of superberty! With only two tracks in front of me, I can honestly say that this girl is in the first division of the first league of champions in her craft. Meat Market Special is cocky and charming, spritely and energetic, dynamic and original and The sick champagne waltz just happens to be all of that and oh my God how the hauntingly chilling strings opening makes this song so much more! Kaya's vocal against such accomplished lyrics makes for a truly percetive song that makes me yearn to meet her over a nice cup of tea at the Albert Dock.

I wish this review was for a complete album but I'll have to wait... so will you... let's just hope we're not kept waiting too long!

** In the meantime however, Broken Hearts and Glasses and How Can I have That? are currently being airplayed over at Kaya's MySpace page and these spectacularly written and performed classics that have yet to see the mouths of the CD tray are just bekining and yearning to be observed live. If you pop over to Kaya's.. watch out for the very clever songwriting folks!
